TRUST THE PLAN

August 30, 2020

Jeremiah 29:11—  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 28:2-3—This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two years I will restore to this place all the articles of the Lord’s temple that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took from here and transported to Babylon

Jeremiah 29:5-7,10-13 — Build houses and live in them. Plant gardens and eat their produce. 6 Find wives for yourselves, and have sons and daughters. Find wives for your sons and give your daughters to men in marriage so that they may bear sons and daughters. Multiply there; do not decrease. 7 Pursue the well-being of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its behalf, for when it thrives, you will thrive.

10 For this is what the Lord says: “When seventy years for Babylon are complete, I will attend to you and will confirm My promise concerning you to restore you to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

1. We must our plans to God’s plans.

We will always God’s plans as long as we think we have a  one.

2. How you to your circumstances will determine your outcome.

You can’t your way out of something you your way into.

Proverbs 23:17-18 — Don’t let your heart envy sinners; instead, always fear the Lord.  18 For then you will have a future, and your hope will not be dashed.

Proverbs 16:2-3—  All a person’s ways seem right to him, but the Lord weighs motives. 3 Commit your activities to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

3. God’s plan isn’t to our suffering,

but to give us hope in the of it.

God’s desire is that He may be most  in us through us being most  in Him.

If you are ready to receive Jesus as Savior and make Him the Lord of your life, just pray something like this:

Jesus, I’m giving up control of my life.  Please forgive me of my sins and take control. I ask You to be the Lord of my life. I believe You died for my sins, rose from the dead, and are coming back someday. I want to live my life for You. Thank You for giving me another chance to make things right.  AMEN

If you have prayed this prayer today to ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life, please text “NEXT” to 573/340-4037.  We would love to hear from you!
