THE LAMPSTAND

IN THE SHADOWS part 4

Exodus 25:31-33, 39— You are to make a lampstand out of pure, hammered gold. It is to be made of one piece: its base and shaft, its ornamental cups, and its buds and petals. 32 Six branches are to extend from its sides, three branches of the lampstand from one side and three branches of the lampstand from the other side. 33 There are to be three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a bud and petals, on one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a bud and petals, on the next branch. It is to be this way for the six branches that extend from the lampstand.

Vs. 39—The lampstand with all these utensils is to be made from seventy-five pounds of pure gold.

Exodus 27:21­— The lampstand with all these utensils is to be made from seventy-five pounds of pure gold.

Lampstand = (Menorah – Hebrew)  

1. The Lampstand is a symbol of    the Light of the World!

John 8:12— Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”

1 Peter 2:9— But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Big Take-Away:

Followers of Christ are empowered by the Holy Spirit to   the of Jesus to the world.

John 15:5— Jesus said, “ I am the vine; you are the branches. ”

Matthew 5:14— Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.”

Ephesians 5:8— For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

Galatians 5:25—If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
