To Renew your Strength, Focus on the Facts: (Isaiah 41)

Isaiah 41:

Vs. 1—“Be silent before me, coasts and islands! And let people renew their strength. Let them approach; let them testify; let’s come together for the trial.”

Vs. 5-6— The coasts and islands see and are afraid, the whole earth trembles. They approach and arrive. 6 Each one helps the other, and says to another, “Take courage!” 

 

1. God has a    vs. 8-9

Isaiah 41: 8-9— But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, my friend—9 I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said to you: You are my servant; I have chosen you; I haven’t rejected you.

Isaiah 44: 6-8—  This is what the Lord, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the Lord of Armies, says: I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me. 7 Who, like me, can announce the future? Let him say so and make a case before me since I have established an ancient people. Let these gods declare the coming things, and what will take place. 8 …Is there any God but me?

Revelation 22: 13(Jesus said), I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

2. God is …not against you 

     vs. 10, 13,15, 17-20

Isaiah 41:10—Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand. 

Vs. 13—For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.

Vs.15— See, I will make you into a sharp threshing board, new, with many teeth.  You will thresh mountains and pulverize them and make hills into chaff.

Romans 8:31—  What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

Isaiah 41: 17-19— The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I will answer them. I am the Lord, the God of Israel. I will not abandon them. 18 I will open rivers on the barren heights, and springs in the middle of the plains. I will turn the desert into a pool and dry land into springs. 19 I will plant cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees in the wilderness. I will put juniper trees, elms, and cypress trees together in the desert,

3. Strength comes from His

 

Vs. 20— so that all may see and know, consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it.

 

Kavanah (Hebrew) =

Vs. 21—“Submit your case,” says the Lord. “Present your arguments,” says Jacob’s King.

 

The Big Take-Away:

 your faith on the evidence of your Creator!

Hebrews 6: 19— We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
