Isaiah 9: 2—The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness.

When God seems SILENT and DISTANT, He NEVER is!

Darkness is the ABSENCE of LIGHT, but with Jesus you ALWAYS have LIGHT.

John 1: 4-12—In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of men. 5 That Light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through Him. 8 He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. 9 The true Light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, and yet the world did not recognize Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. 12 But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name.

Jesus is the Light of Hope. He is . . .

1. PURE and cannot be defiled.

2. CONSTANT and NEVER changes.

3. ETERNAL and can NEVER be extinguished.

James 1: 17—Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Hebrews 13: 8—Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

BIG TAKE AWAY

REFLECT the Light and always be ready to give a reason for the HOPE you have.

1 Peter 3:15—but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.

Just pray a prayer like this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.  Amen
