“Life is Better Freed From Guilt”

“LIVING THE GOOD LIFE”  part 2

Dr. Chris Vaught

senior pastor

Acts 23: 1 (CSB) — Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, “Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience to this day.”

Genesis 3:7 (CSB) — Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

How to be Free from Guilt…

   1.

       a. Guilt is experienced…

       b. Guilt is experienced…

       c. Guilt is experienced…

1 Timothy 1: 13-15 (CSB) —Even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief, 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them.

Romans 3:23 -24 (CSB) — For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:9 (CSB) — If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

   2.

       a. Accept that the took the place of the so that the could be declared   .

Psalm 32: 1-5 (CSB) —How joyful is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! 2 How joyful is a person whom the Lord does not charge with iniquity and in whose spirit is no deceit! When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was drained as in the summer’s heat. Selah 5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not conceal my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah

Hebrews 9: 14 (CSB) — How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?

Romans 8:33 (CSB) — Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies.

   3. the

       a. Grace received will !

1 Timothy 1:16 (CSB) —  But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.

1 Timothy 1:17  (CSB) —  Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Genesis 3: 17  (CSB) — And he said to the man, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.
