    DADFEST—TODAY!  Take advantage of all that’s going on in honor of our Dad’s.  

    FAMILY DEDICATION— This Sunday we will celebrate fathers and their spiritual leadership in their family with FAMILY DEDICATIONS, that make a covenant with God to dedicate the entire family to know and love God. Families who want to participate need to sign up soon at: yourcpc.church/events

Father’s Day

 

Imago Dei =  

 

Genesis 1: 26-28—Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.” 27 So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female. 28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth,and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.”

 

Bearing the Image of God is…

1. An

Psalm 8: 4-7—What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet…

2. A

Genesis 2:15—The Lord God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to workit and watch over it.

Ephesians 2:10— For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

3. A

1 Peter 1: 18-19 —For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb.

 

Ephesians 4:20-24— But that is not how you came to know Christ, 21 assuming you heard about him and were taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to take off your former way of life, the old self that is corrupted by deceitful desires, 23 to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.

The Big Take-Away:

You are a Creation of the Master and called to  His Image to the World.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.  Amen
