John 7: 37-38— ”If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who
believes in Me, as the Scriptures have said, will have streams of living water flow
from deep within him.”
1. Like water, the Holy Spirit is essential for your .
John 3: 5-7— Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, unless someone is born of water and
the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh,
and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Romans 8: 9— “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of
God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”
2. Like water, the Holy Spirit
a. Gives us
Romans 8: 15-16— For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear.
Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba , Father!”
16 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,
Ephesians 4: 30— “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were
sealed for the day of redemption .”
John 16: 8— When he comes, he will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and
Romans 8: 31— What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is
John 10: 28—Jesus said, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

3. Like water, the Holy Spirit quenches your spiritual .
John 4:14— But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty
again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him
for eternal life.”
Acts 3: 19—Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped
out, 20 that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that
he may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.
