HOLY SMOKE

SUPERNatural  part 4

SMOKE — Occupies time and space. Saturates the air. It is visible and tangible. It affects your

senses. In the Scriptures,  smoke is often used as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

Think of Isaiah’s experience.

1. Like smoke, the Holy Spirit desires to  you!

John 14:15-16— If you love Me, you will keep My commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.

Exodus 40:34-35— The cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. 35 Moses was unable to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud rested on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

1 Corinthians 6:19— Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

2. Like smoke, the Holy Spirit should be  in you!

John 14:17—He is the Spirit of Truth. The world is unable to receive Him because it doesn’t see Him or know Him. But you do know Him, because He remains with you and will be in you.

a. His Presence in you should affect how you your !

Galatians 5:22-25— But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

John 14: 26-27— But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you. 27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.

b. His Presence in you should affect the

John 14:12—“Truly I tell you, the one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And He will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

Vs. 20—On that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you.

Matthew 5:13— You are the salt of the earth.

BIG TAKE-AWAY:

long in the Presence of the LORD

and the Holy Spirit will your life and

to impact the world around you!

If you are ready to receive Jesus as Savior and make Him the Lord of your life,

Jesus, I’m giving up control of my life. Please forgive me of my sins and take

control. I ask You to be the Lord of my life. I believe You died for my sins, rose from

the dead, and are coming back someday. I want to live my life for You. Thank You

for giving me another chance to make things right. AMEN
