Proverbs 16:5 TPT

Yahweh detests all the proud[a] of heart,
    for pride attracts his punishment—
and you can count on that!

The Paradoxes Of Pride

When you have a prideful heart, you become tone deaf to the needs of others!

Romans 12:16 TPT

16 Live happily together in a spirit of harmony, and be as mindful of another’s worth as you are your own. Don’t live with a lofty mind-set, thinking you are too important to serve others, but be willing to do menial tasks and identify with those who are humble minded.[a] Don’t be smug or even think for a moment that you know it all.

“Pride is the mother of arrogance.”

Toba Beta

James 4:6 TPT

“Pride must die in you, or nothing of heaven can live in you.”

Andrew Murray

How Do We Not Allow Pride To Be Our Paradox?

  1. Take inventory of your heart.
  2. Ask God to create in you a clean heart.

1 Peter 5:6 AMPC
