Luke 9:22 (NIV) — And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed . . .”

• Following According to :

Luke 9:23 (NIV) — Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 

Galatians 2:20 (NIV) — For I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. 

Colossians 3:3 (NIV) — For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 

John 3:3 (NIV) – Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
