The Rise of the “New David”

The New David says to Old David: “Come to the Feast!”

Isaiah 55:1(NIV) — “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.”

Isaiah 55:3 (NIV) — “I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

Isaiah 55:5 (NIV) — “Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.”

Isaiah 55:6 (NIV) — “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

Romans 8:31–32 (NIV) — . . . If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
