Study of Psalms 150

The biblical solution to the problem of pessimism and negative thinking is to be in our thinking. 

 

Praise is the to pessimism, negativity and anxiety!

 

When God is the of our lives and He is getting glory from our praise, there is no for pessimism and negativity and anxiety.

Psalm 150

1. Praise the Lord! 

   Praise God in his sanctuary; 

   praise him in his mighty heavens! 

2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; 

   praise him according to his excellent greatness! 

3 Praise him with trumpet sound; 

   praise him with lute and harp! 

4 Praise him with tambourine and dance; 

   praise him with strings and pipe! 

5 Praise him with sounding cymbals; 

   praise him with loud clashing cymbals! 

6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! 

   Praise the Lord!

  • God’s people should have a when it comes to praise.
  • The extent to which we the glory of God will be the to which praise fills our lives. 
  • Praise becomes an of our view of God

Where should we Praise?

Psalm 150:1

1. Praise the Lord! 

   Praise God in his sanctuary; 

   praise him in his mighty heavens!

Derek Kidner writes, God’s “glory fills the universe; His praise must do no less.”

Why should we praise God?

Psalm 150:2
