Divorce and New Beginnings

You Asked For It – Part 4 of 5

“Suppose a man marries a woman and consummates the marriage but later finds her displeasing, because he has found her offensive in some respect. He writes her a divorce document, gives it to her and sends her away from his house.”

If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing or her conjugal love. If he does not provide her with those three things, she is free to go without payments of money. Exodus 21:10-11

Marriage vows include:

Haven’t you read, he replied, that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?
