Christmas Is A Time For Reconciliation

12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” –Luke 2:12-14

What is reconciliation

Reconciliation is the restoration of peace.

(1) Jesus offers you peace with God.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself  2 Cor. 5:17

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. -Isaiah 53:6

(2) Jesus offers you peace with others

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:  -2 Cor. 5:18

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. -2 Cor. 5:20

(3) Jesus offers you the peace of God.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” –
