All The Feels: I’m Angry

Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man holds it in check.

The heart of an anger problem is a belief that must make people change or pay for their sins.

WE TYPICALLY VENT OUR ANGER IN 3 WAYS:

 

  1. Angry : These are knives that pierce through the issue at hand into the heart of the person with whom you disagree.

Proverbs 15:4 The tongue that heals is a tree of life, but a devious tongue breaks the spirit.

  1. Angry : These are physical acts that form our reputation and hinder our relationships.

Proverbs 14:16–17 A wise person is cautious and turns from evil, but a fool is easily angered and is careless. 17 A quick-tempered person acts foolishly…

 

Proverbs 22:24–25 Don’t make friends with an angry person, and don’t be a companion of a hot-tempered one, 25 or you will learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.

  1. Angry : Seeds of anger that are allowed to take root, growing into words and actions of anger.

Hebrews 12:14–15 Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness—without it no one will see the Lord. 15 Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and defiling many.

Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and don’t give the Devil an opportunity.

 

HOW TO DEAL WITH ANGRY FEELS

 

Anger shouldn’t be by us…it should be to God.
