Never Forget Your Heirship

June 27, 2021 / Galatians 4:8-11

It is better for a child to obey their father out of love for him than out of fear of being punished. What is your response to this statement? Do you agree or disagree? Why do you obey God?

What was going on in the Galatian churches at this point?

How do you feel about your past? Honestly? Why do you feel this way?

What do John 10:14, 1 John 4:10, Isaiah 65:1-4, and Matthew 16:17 say about our relationship with God?

Does God know everybody?  Yes        No

Is God KNOWN by everybody? (See Matt. 7:21-23)  What does this mean?

What are “elementary principles”?

Elementary principles (stoicheion) are about  modification and NOT about  transformation.

How do we go back to the elementary principles in our relationship with Jesus?

How are the Galatians going back to the elementary principles of this world?

Have you ever been entrapped by the elementary principles of this world? If so, how?

What happens when we try to replace grace with works?

Does this mean that the Galatians (we) lost or were losing their salvation?

          Yes          No

Why or why not?

Have you ever felt like Paul felt in Gal. 4:11? Why? What happened? How has this changed you?
