October 10, 2021 / Galatians 5:13-15

What is implied by being “called to freedom”?

What is the warning given to us in Gal. 5:13 concerning our freedom?

What does the Greek word sarx (flesh) mean? What does the Greek word aphormen (opportunity) mean? How does this help us understand this passage/verse?

What are the 2 great enemies of freedom?

  1.  and

In reality, both of these are really a form of  NOT freedom. (John 8:34). What are we a slave to because of license?

What does Romans 6 (particularly verse 15-23) say about being a slave to sin? What is the great exchange that takes place for a believer concerning sin and righteousness according to these verses?

If we are called to freedom (as believers) do we have to sin? Why or why not?

How do we express our freedom from sin? (Matt. 25:37)

Paul quotes Leviticus 19:18 (as well as Matt. 22:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27). Why? What does it have to do with freedom?

What does Paul warn about in Gal. 7:15? What is the progression? Have you ever done this? Why? What does it have to do with freedom?
