    TODAY’S MESSAGE

    Evangelism is not a bad word; it describes the good news we have to share with a world full of bad news. So how do we go about evangelizing? First, with a change of heart for the good news – the good news that comes with Jesus.

    EASTER IS FAST APPROACHING!

    Join us on Sunday, April 4 to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  This year we’re offering nine separate services to help accommodate for expected crowd sizes and to keep people socially distanced. All are welcome to attend! Please register at stmarkscr.org/easter

    Our COVID-19 mitigation practices will be utilized for Easter morning. All worshippers must wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose for the entire service and maintain a six-foot distance from those not in their family group. We will sanitize surfaces and disinfect the air in each worship center between services.

    An online Easter service featuring St. Mark’s musicians and pastors will be made available to watch at any time on Easter morning.

Heart Change for EVANGELISM | Acts 4: 5-20

 

Two reasons why evangelism is a “bad” word.

  1. Society has told the church
    (and church has believed society).
  2. The church has and evangelism (and so people in the church feel overwhelmed and underperforming).

Question: Where do I start for a change of heart for evangelism?
Answer: Ask the question:

 

What needs to change about my heart: 

  1. I need to believe that (see your story)
  2. I need to believe (trust your story)
  3. I need to believe (live your story)

 

Jesus’ ministry was a ministry of evangelism

 

Good News Mantra

  • I have good news about Jesus

  • I am qualified to share it

  • (And) I/t makes a difference
