Luke 1:11-17

Luke 3:3

Matthew 3:11,13-17

John’s baptism was a cleansing to prepare people to meet the Messiah who could forgive their sins !

Matthew 28:18-20

Acts 1:4-5

Acts 2:36-41

Baptism is an expression of an reality.

Romans 6:3-4

-Is it necessary for salvation?

Mark 16:16

Ephesians 2:8-9

-So then why be baptized at all?

“…baptism is not necessary for salvation. However, if you were to ask me, “Is baptism necessary for the Christian?” I would say, “Absolutely.” It is not necessary for salvation, but it is necessary for obedience, because Christ, with no ambiguity, commanded that all of those who belong to Him, who are part of the new covenant family, and who receive the benefits of His salvation are to be baptized in the Trinitarian formula.” — R.C. Sproul

-What if I was baptized as a baby?

-When should children be baptized?

-What if my life got off track after I was baptized, but now I’ve returned to the Lord? Do I need to be re-baptized?

-What if I was baptized by someone who is no longer a Christian?

John 4:2
