“Fulfill Ye My Joy” – Philippians 2:1-4

Philippians 2:1-4 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

I. See Your As Your

Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

When you see your role in a relationship as your responsibility to the call of Christ it will stir you to bring the kind of love that makes any relationship stronger.

II. See Your As

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

The alignment we should be seeking in relationships is the alignment of our life to the life of Christ.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Paul teaches us that the only person we should seek to change is ourselves.

III. See Your In

Philippians 2:2 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Success is found in a selfless approach, meaning that valuing the welfare of another beyond our own is central to the Christian life.

Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

IV. See Your As

Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Mark 9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
