“Come, See A Man” – John 4:29

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

John 4:17b-18 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

I. Her Invitation Faith

Matthew 17:20b If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Jesus says that even if your faith is small, it can lead to the accomplishment of the “impossible.”

James 2:18b Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Our “works” produce “faith,” but our “faith” always produces “works.”

II. Her Invitation Faith

We cannot become a Christian without faith, and we cannot live the Christian life without faith.

Mark 11:22b Have faith in God.

The end game of the Christian life is not just to have faith but to deploy our faith to actually live by faith.

Galatians 3:11b The just shall live by faith.

There is nothing more rewarding in life than doing what you believe God would have you to do without the knowledge of how it would turn out.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

You will never find a better time than the present to put your faith to work.

III. Her Invitation Faith

John 4:31-39 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

Acts 16:31b Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

The good news of the Gospel is there for any who chooses to believe.

Never forget that Jesus can save anyone.

John 4:41-42 And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.
