Theme: God With Us                                              Topic: Reigning King

there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish… 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. (Isaiah 9:1-2)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. (Colossians 2:15)

The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! (Psalms 97:1)

37 As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, 38 saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” 40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” 41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, 42 saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side (Luke 19:37-43)

Note:

  1. Rejoice in what Christ has done
  2. The power of darkness has no power over those in Christ
  3. Expect to live a life of peace and victory through Christ
  4. Confront the enemy who oversteps their boundary. Insist on your peace…
  5. Make your appeal to the reigning king (Jesus Christ).
