Remember Your Creator In the Days of Your Youth

November 14, 2021

Ecclesiastes 12:1-8 NIV

Mental faculties are described in terms of light. 

“The clouds returning after the rain,”

“when the keepers of the house tremble.”

“The strong men are bent,” 

“Those that look through the windows are dimmed” 

“The doors on the street are shut,”

“When the sound of the grinding is low”

“one rises up at the voice of a bird.” 

“all the daughters of song are brought low.”

“They are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way.” 

“The almond tree blossoms”

“the grasshopper drags itself along.” 

“Man goes to his eternal home.”

 (Ecclesiastes 12:13 NIV)

Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the of man.

What does it mean to “Fear God?”

“F” stands for in his existence. 

“E”: his grace. 

“A”: at the majesty, the wisdom and the wonder of God. 

“R,” stands for . Resolve to do what he says, to obey his word, to “keep his commandments”
