Joshua: A Warriors Spiritual Journey

  • Joshua was from the tribe of Ephraim. Born a slave in Egypt. He would have seen: Slavery in Egypt, the forty years in the wilderness and the Conquest of Canaan.
  • During the Exodus, Joshua served as Moses “aide.”
  • He was named “Hoshua” by his parents. Moses gave him the name Joshua. (Num. 13:16) In Hebrew the difference is, “Hoshea = He Saves” while “Joshua = Yahweh Saves.”
  • Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua.
