God Has A Plan

Acts 2:37-47

I. POWER OF PARTNERSHIP

  1. There Can Be No Community Where There Is No Unity
  2. God Moves When We Are Together
  3. A Vision for God’s Plan begins to Birth when we are all Focused on Assignment

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

II. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I ACKNOWLEDGE MY ASSIGNMENT?

A). Spiritually: Get to Know the Voice of The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV
33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

Psalm 32:8 NKJV
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.

2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

Matthew 24:15 NKJV
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

Psalm 119:11 NKJV
11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.

B). Practically: Get to Work

1 Timothy 5:8 NKJV
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

C). Futuristically: Create A Plan

Habakkuk 2:1-3

III. PRAISE SHOULD BE PERSISTENT

A). My Response to God’s Goodness Is Not Dependent Upon Circumstances

1 Thessalonians 5:15-23 NKJV See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify[a] you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

B). Praise Him When You Feel Like It and When You Don’t

Psalm 27:4-8 NKJV One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the [a]beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His  temple.For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me;  He shall set me high upon a rock.And now my head shall be [b]lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of
[c]joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

 IV. PROCLAIM IT PUBLICLY

A). Conviction Cannot Be Contained

Jeremiah 20:7-9 ⁷You deceived me, LORD, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me. ⁸Whenever I speak, I cry out proclaiming violence and destruction. So the word of the LORD has brought me insult and reproach all day long. ⁹But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

B). What You Release Is What You Receive

Luke 6:38-40 NKJV

V. 9 PRINCIPLES YOU NEED AFTER ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR ASSIGNMENT

A). Be Convinced God Is Calling You and Not Man

B). Don’t Rely Solely on Prophetic Words

Acts 21:10-12 NKJV
10 And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’ ”
12 Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem.

Acts 22:22-24 NKJV
22 And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!” 23 Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air, 24 the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him.

C). Understand the Path You Traveled to See The Path You Are To Follow

D). Evaluate the Changes

E). Prepare to Overcome Opposition

F). Find Mentorship

G). Understand Spiritual Attacks Will Come

Ephesians 6:13-18 NKJV
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

H). Remember Change Is A Process Not an Event

I). Be Bold and Be Strong

Philippians 1:6 NKJV
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

VI. PRAISE HIM FOR HIS POWER

  1. There Is Power in His Name
  2. I’ve Got So Much to Thank Him For
