TURNING WORRY INTO WORSHIP

1 Peter 5:6–11 (TPT) If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

Matthew 6:25–34 (NIV) “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

When is restored, is released.

HOW DO I TURN MY WORRY INTO WORSHIP?

1.  Redirect my towards Christ.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) “But seek first his kingdom…”

“Worry doesn’t take away tomorrow’s trouble It takes away today’s peace.”

Psalm 34:1,2,4 (NIV) I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.  I will glory in the Lord; … I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

James 4:8–10 (TPT) Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.

2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV). …where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Galatians 5:22–23 (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV) …for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Romans 8:28 (NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Matthew 18:20 (NIV) For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Hebrews 10:24–25 (TPT) Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other! In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.

2.  Establish my in Christ.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “seek…His righteousness.”

Romans 12:1–2 (The Message) So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God.  You’ll be changed from the inside out.

Proverbs 18:21 (The Message) Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.

John 10:10–11 (TPT) ….I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! I am the Good Shepherd who lays down my life as a sacrifice for the sheep.

When is restored, is released.

John 3:16 (NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
