Teach Us To Pray

Luke 11:1 (NIV) “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray…’Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV) “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.”

1.  Connect with God .

Romans 8:15 (NLT) You have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”

2.  Worship .

Proverbs 18:10 (MSG) God’s name is a place of protection—the righteous can run there and be safe.

3.  Pray His .

Luke 19:10 (NIV) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”Luke 12:31 (TLB) He will always give you all you need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.

4.  Depend on Him for .Psalm 121:1-2 (NLT) I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!Psalm 147:11 (NIV) The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.Proverbs 16:15 (NLT) When the king smiles, there is life; his favor refreshes like a spring rain.

5.  Ask God for and others.

Mark 11:25–26 (TPT) And whenever you stand praying, if you find that you carry something in your heart against another person, release him and forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also release you and forgive you of your faults. But if you will not release forgiveness, don’t expect your Father in heaven to release you from your misdeeds.”“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” – Lewis B. 7.  Express faith in .
