Jesus’ Rhythm of Life:

  • Solitude – Love God

“Jesus went to a mountainside to pray…” Luke 6:12

  • Community – Love People

“He chose twelve… and called them apostles.”Luke 6:13

  • Ministry – Serve the World

“Power was coming from him and healing them all.”  Luke 6:19

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”   Matt 22:37–39 (NIV)

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you so must love one another. By this all people will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34- 35 (NIV)

Three Signs of a Jesus Community

  1. Everybody’s .

“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Luke 15:2 (NIV)

“The greatest among you will be your servant.”  Matthew 23:11 (NIV)

“We no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ.”  Galatians 3:28 (TPT)

  1. Nobody’s

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” Matthew 7:1

“Be anxious for nothing…” Philippians 4:6

In Jesus’ community:

We confess together

We forgive often

We speak truth in love

We deal with conflict and seek restoration

  1. Anything’s .

“Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.”  Luke 23:34

“This Jesus you crucified…Repent. Believe. Be baptized.”  Acts 2:36, 38

“With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
