Let’s Talk About It – Week Three: “Let’s Talk About Relationships”

Big Idea: Everything about following Jesus starts with the greatest commandments: to love God and love others.

1. Our most important is with God.

34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they came together. 35 And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test him: 36 “Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” 37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the greatest and most important command. Matthew 22:34-38 

2. Our relationship with God and all other relationships.

39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”

9 The commandments, Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not covet; and any other commandment, are summed up by this commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself. Romans 13:9
