TODAY’S SERMON

TITLE: A Roadmap Through Times of Crisis
TEXT:
Micah 4:1-5
SPEAKER: Pastor Dan

The central message of the prophet, Micah is that God wants to use His people to bless the nations of the world. The problem is that God’s people were compromised and not fit to bless or be an example to other nations. So the message of Micah is a roadmap for God’s people to follow during very volatile times. This roadmap was to be very different than that of their neighbors. Micah lays out a roadmap of faithfulness that would lead to a new future… a roadmap that we very much need to follow during the turbulent times of our generation.

SERMON NOTES

1. LIFT HIGH THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE
Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the temple of the God of Jacob. ~ Micah 4:2 (Philippians 2:9-10)

2. CARRY PEACE INTO A CONFLICTED WORLD
They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. ~ Micah 4:3b

He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be our peace. ~ Micah 5:4-5a

3. WORK TO ENSURE EVERY PERSON IS CARED FOR
Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. ~ Micah 4:4 (Jeremiah 29:7)
