2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV) But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16 (NIV) So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

4 Levels of Relationship with the Holy Spirit

If you don’t see Him as person, you won’t relate to Him personally.

John 14:17 (NIV) …the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

The Holy Spirit in me is better than Jesus beside me.

Befriending the Holy Spirit

John 14:16 (HCSB) And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.

John 14:26 (HCSB) But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit—the Father will send Him in My name—will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.

Acts 1:8 (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

John 16:8 (NIV) When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.

John 16:13 (NIV) But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

3 Reasons Why You Need to be Filled

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NIV) …I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
