Discussion Questions

Read Galatians 6:1-10

1. The first part of this text speaks about restoration of those caught in transgression- What is different between the person caught in transgression and the person who is willfully sinning unrepentantly? What are some of the most challenging parts of restoration?

2. What are some practical ways that we can “test our work” and “keep watch on ourselves” in order to avoid temptation?

3. How does the call to bear one another’s burdens fulfill the law of Christ (read Galatians 5:13-15)? Discuss the difference between bearing one another’s burdens and enabling one another’s sin. How can we do the first without accidentally doing the other?

4. Paul highlights that each of us will have to “bear his own load” speaking of the accountability we have before God for how we live. How should our perspective on this judgement be different from that of unbelievers? (Passages to reference: Romans 8:1-4, 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:6-10)
