When you look throughout the bible God has in a number of ways

1 Samuel 3:3-5 (NKJV)

… and while Samuel was lying down, the LORD called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” 5 So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down

God called and Samuel went to his pastor!

– God’s voice sounded like a normal human voice to Samuel

– Three times God did not change His tone!

[1] When God speaks to you, He will speak again

[2] His greatest revelations happen in

[3] Much as God is moving, He is not hiding from you

[4] Samuel went and lay down in his place

Go back to your place. Do not strive for recognition.

But today the audible voice is rare.

– God speaks to the heart and you get a

– The devil speaks to the mind and you begin to the knowing

Luke 5:22 (NKJV)

Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?

Matthew 9:4 (NKJV)

When the Holy Spirit speaks you get the knowing in your heart

Most times when someone is prophesying over you, it is of what you already know

You will not hear voices from God like auditory hallucinations, you will have a knowing

You do not stop what you are doing and freeze to wait for God

– You have to raise donkeys for Jesus to pick one to ride on

– You have to have an inn for Christ to be born in your stable

– You have to have your trees for Zacchaeus to climb one and have an encounter with Jesus

– The first thing God calls you to is Himself
