Misunderstood

Acts 17:16-34

The gospel is

Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (1 Corinthians 1:22-25)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

What anxieties or fears might you have about having gospel conversations?

Read Acts 17:34. Who are your Dionysius and Damaris? How are you joining together to share gospel conversations?

What does your gospel conversation sound like? Practice it in your Life Group or with somebody this week..

Next Steps

  • Pray for the person with whom you will have a gospel conversation.
  • Invite that person to worship with you, next Sunday.
