11-15-20 PSALM 23 – Week 7 From Overwhelmed to Overflowing

2 WAYS TO APPROACH LIFE

  1. A SHORTAGE mindset:    1 kings 4:42-44 A man brought Elisha some grain and twenty loaves of Elisha said, “Give it to the people so they can eat.”      43 here for a hundred people,” his servant said.  “Just give it to them,” Elisha replied. “The Lord has promised .”   44 So the servant served the bread and grain to the people. They ate and still had some left over, just as the Lord had promised.

PSALM 23:5
“You fill my cup to overflowing.”
 (NCV)
“You give me more than I can hold.” (ICB)
“My cup overflows!” (NIV)

WHAT’S MY CUP?

John 7:37-38 (NLT)

Because God is Good, everything he does in my life is for my Good!

17     I am the holy Lord God, the one who rescues you.
For your own good, I teach you, and I lead you along the right path.
18 How I wish that you had obeyed my commands!
Your success and good fortune would then have overflowed like the flooding river.   ISAIAH 48

HOW CAN I EXPERIENCE AN OVERFLOWING LIFE?

  1. STAY CONNECTED TO JESUS
Jesus: “I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay connected to me . . . you’ll produce a lot of fruit. But you without me!”           John 15:5   also John 15:7-11
  2. STOP & START BEING

“In everything you do,  and arguing . . .”  Philippians 2:14 (NLT)     how does complaining help you?? Weather, looks, kids?

“Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all God has done.”  Colossians 2:7

  3. STOP BEING & START BEING

And you can be sure that God is able to bless you with  his grace, so that in all things, at all times, you will  you need, and you’ll so you can give to every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

“‘Bring your full tithe to My storehouse. Test Me now in this,’ says the Lord, ‘and see if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and  a blessing .'”  Malachi 3:10 (NASB)
