Developing A Healthy Soul

“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart” (Ezekiel 36:26).

“These instructions are not empty words—they are your life! By obeying them you will enjoy a long life in the land…”. (Deuteronomy 32:47 NLT).

“Keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life”(Proverbs 3:1).

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing…”. (Proverbs 3:5-10 NIV).

“Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul.” (Mark 8:36) 

  1. Focusing on what will be for your soul.

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)

2. Identify what’s for your soul.

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” (1 Pet. 2:11)

“For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead.” (Psalm 143:3)

Acts 9:6. “ So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Know how to your soul.

Be quick to .

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

  • Draw to the shepherd.

“Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6)

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”(Psalm 23:1)

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. (Psalm 23:2)

“He restores my soul, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”(Psalm 23:3)

“…even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”(Psalm 23:4)
