Common misunderstandings about the Spirit’s work:
-
- The Spirit coming into our lives is always dramatic
Work and pray for more days like Pentecost, but don’t require every day to be like Pentecost
-
- The Spirit coming always includes speaking in other languages
1 Cor. 12:30 (NASB95)
-
- The Spirit comes to us after our salvation
How can we expect the Spirit to come to us?
-
- You receive the Spirit into your life when you are born again (sealed, indwelt by the Spirit)
- You are regularly filled with the Spirit as you continue to submit to Him (filled with the Spirit)
