Pardon The Interruption
Staycation: Living Life on Mission
Pastor Ronderick Henry /// [email protected]

23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”Matthew 8:23–25 (NLT)

I need you to see that…

  • There are needs in every community.
  • Jesus was intentional, loving, and kind when responding to those who interrupted him in his daily living.

  1. Properly To The Needs Around You.

21 Another of his disciples said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.”Matthew 8:21–22 (NLT)

  1. During Sever Storms.

24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”Matthew 8:24–25 (NLT)

26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.Matthew 8:26 (NLT)

  1. Issues That Hinder Is Not An Option.

7 So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. 8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:7–9 (NLT)

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.Philippians 3:14 (NLT)
