WHAT HAPPENED?

WHAT DOES IT TEACH US?

1. God is !

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” Revelation 4:8b

“Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong.” Habakkuk 1:3a

2. Sin is !

WHAT DOES IT TEACH US?

• Sin me from God

“It is your evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause him to turn away from you, so he does not hear you.” Isaiah 59:2 (NCV)

“My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.” Psalm 38:4

• Sin me

“God is a righteous judge and always condemns the wicked.” Psalm 7:11 (GNT)

RIGHTEOUS = GOD ALWAYS DOES WHAT’S RIGHT

“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

WHAT SHOULD BE MY RESPONSE?

1. from my sin and Jesus to save me.

“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” Romans 3:22 (NLT)

“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left.” Hebrews 10:26

2. Live in a state of .

“So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” Romans 5:11 (NLT)

3. When I’m tempted, what my sin cost Jesus.

“For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NLT)

4. Tell others .

“Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.” 2 Peter 3:9b (GW)
