KINGDOM AUTHORITY
Lesson 1
The Key to Kingdom Authority
“You won’t be able to say, ‘It has begun here in this place or there in that part of the country.’ For the Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21 LB)
Kingdom authority means the power to rule over the world, the flesh, and the devil. It means living victoriously focused on the plans God has for us instead of falling prey to the entrapments that our enemy places in our way.
God desires for us a life of divine
Why do we live below what God desires for us?
The Problem Assessed
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)
1. We are not wrestling against
2. Often we do not even recognize the for what it is.
3. Many times we don’t win the battle because
Satan is in a struggle against God attempting to bring chaos to God’s perfect plan for His Creation and destroy us in the process.
Our world is in the state it is because of two things:
a.
b.
The World is the foe.
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2: 15-16)
The Flesh is the foe.
“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal. 5:19-21)
Satan is the foe.
Satan comes against you to obsess, depress and defeat.
However, God does not leave us defenseless.
“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,” (Luke 9:1)
Two weapons given by Jesus to His disciples…

The difference between authority and power is
a. Authority is .
b. Power is .
Conferred: to bestow from or as if from a position of superiority
Innate: Belonging to the essential nature of something; inherent.
Jesus possesses both power and authority, but he has given us His rights of authority over Satan and his plots.
God sets authorities in our lives, and when we choose not to obey or submit, we are in disobedience and open rebellion against God.
1. We will never achieve a by being a rebel.
2. God cannot and will not give us any more or even more until we the ones He has already given us.
3. Rebellion only brings to sin and Satan.
