SOUTH TEXAS PASTORS’ MEETING – 3/5/22

March 5, 2022

SOUTH TEXAS PASTORS’ MEETING
BISHOP DR. ETHAN W. OGLETREE SR.
March 5, 2022

AGENDA
Confession statements of who you are in 2022

Inspiration of faith:

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” ~ Proverbs 19:21

Joel Osteen said, “I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you’re grateful, you’ll see God open up new doors.”

1. I am a bold and great leader for God.

2. I am a successful leader and believe big things are happening with me.

We don’t trust because we’re uncomfortable with the risk—the risk of unclear outcomes and destinations.

We are on a journey with God.

3. I am a business leader who builds people and businesses to impact the world.

Ministry today starts with an unwavering dependency on the sovereignty of God:

• Professionally
• Personally
• Prophetically
• Provisionally
• Protection

Footnote:

• Infrastructure team (Foundation solid team to hold up and build upon)

• Jesus had 12 disciples

• Systems for ministry operations (God gifts us to set up and establish systems)

Systems of the supernatural

  • Systematic Systems
  • Systematic Strategy
  • Systematic Approach
  • Systematic Development

• Every effective form of ministry is a system.

• Clarity and unity of mission – We are stronger together than apart

We must faithfully believe that God has not only a plan but a destination for us and our ministry.

• Consider when we are traveling by water, we can choose two methods of transportation: a sailboat or a powerboat.

• A sailboat depends on the wind for guidance and direction. In contrast the powerboat has a motor to provide pre-determined horsepower to overcome the waves.

• Both provide a level of trust. However, the wind is an unseen power while the powerboat is predetermined.

• Ministry is complete trust in the wind. No man-made system can power you through rough times.

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” ~ John 14:26
