WANDAVISION: WHO’S THE AUTHOR OF YOUR STORY? | BINGE-WORTHY, EPISODE 4

August 7, 2021   /   Miami Vineyard Church

Pastor Ibyi Parris ~ August 7th, 2021

Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, …  Hebrews 12:1-2a (NKJV)

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the Everlasting God the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding.  Isaiah 40:28 (CSB)

1. Can you TRUST God when ? (Witness: Gideon)

Gideon said to him, “Please my Lord, if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened? And where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about?”  Judges 6:13a (CSB)

The Lord said to Gideon, “I will deliver you with the three hundred men who lapped and hand the Midianites over to you. But everyone else is to go home.”  Judges 7:7 (CSB)

2. Can you TRUST God when ? (Witness: Job)

His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die.” But, Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?”  Job 2:9-10 (NLT)

Then Job answered the Lord, and said, “I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from thee…. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”  Job 42:1-2, 5 (KJV)

3. Can you TRUST God when ? (Witness: Joshua)

But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.”  Joshua 6:2-5 (NLT)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
