Small Group Questions
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This week is the final meeting for your small groups during this current session. We will be taking a short break through the holidays and start back up again towards the end of January 2021.
What do you think?
From Sunday’s service, what struck a chord with you?
The story of your life.
Pastor Willie talked about three different responses to Jesus (hard heartedness, half-heartedness, and whole-hearted worship). Though we’d all like to think we always respond in whole-hearted worship, the truth is that it requires sacrifice (which we often resist). Tell about a time when you responded in one of those three different ways. Looking back, what did you learn from the experience?
Digging deeper in God’s Word.
- Most of us have read the Christmas story countless times. Even folks who do not believe in God are familiar with it. And yet, there are always new things to be found in the story of Jesus coming into this world. As you re-read parts of it today, ask God to show you something new. Read Luke 1:26-56 and answer the following questions.
a. Have a few members of the group recap the story using their own words.
b. What does this story tell us about God/people/you?
c. What elements stood out to you in a fresh way?

- Have everyone share one thing someone else said that blessed you.
- Take some time to pray for one another.
