What struck a chord with you from Sunday’s service?
The Story of Your Life.
- The month of February is often known as being the month of “love.” Share about a meaningful act of love that someone did for you that made you feel special.
- On Sunday, Pastor Kyle referred to Gary Chapman’s book called “The Five Love Languages.” It’s worth adding to your list if you haven’t read it. The five love languages outlined are: acts of service, words of affirmation, physical touch, receiving gifts, and quality time. Which of those five most closely describes your “love language”?
Digging Deeper in God’s Word.
- On Sunday, Pastor Kyle mentioned that God’s love language is “obedience.” In relationships, obedience often looks like self-sacrifice for others. One place we see this very clearly is in John 15:8-17. Read it together and answer the following prompts/questions.
- Have a few members of the group recap the main tenets of the passage.
- What does this tell us about God/relationships?
- How do Jesus’ words in this passage differ from relationship advice in today’s culture?
- Is there anything you need to do differently after having read and discussed this?
- Now re-read 1 Corinthians 13 in its entirety as a group. Then answer the following prompts/questions.
