Do you trust me? Chasing the Wild Goose.

The legend spreads:
Celtic christians had a name for the Holy Spirit
“Ah Geadh-Glas” (On God glas) the Wild Goose

Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

6 cages that can keep you from chasing the Wild Goose:

  1. The Cage of Responsibility
  2. The Cage of Routine
  3. The Cage of Assumptions
  4. The Cage of Shame
  5. The Cage of Failure
  6. The Cage of Fear

They believe they’re worthy

Joshua 1:9(NIV)

  1. Start praying
  2. stop praying and start doing
  3. Have the courage to live by Faith and conquer fear

Hebrews 11:1(NLT)
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

So how do you move out of fear to faith?
1. Make a decision to believe truth

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent.

2. accept His spirit

2 Timothy 1:7(AMP)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

3. Have the Courage to Renew your mind

Romans 12:2

Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[a] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Philippians 4:8

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.

4. Have the courage to Surround yourself with friends who will encourage you.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12(NLT)
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

Proverbs 13:20

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. (Freedom, restoration for those who are lacking in anything!) He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy), beaten up by life.
19 to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].”

John 10:10 AMP

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
