Matthew 1:3-5

Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram, Ram the father of Amminadab, mminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon, Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab…

Matthew 1:5-6

Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife.

Jesus not only came for sinners, but Jesus came from sinners

Matthew 9:9

As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth…

…“Follow me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him.

Matthew 9:10-11

While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Him and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Matthew 9:12-13

On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

God draws near to those that have drawn away

Jesus is the Savior, Forgiver, Gift of Righteousness to the World!

Jesus come to call the sinners!

Jesus didn’t only come for sinners, He came from sinners.
