Acts 2:42-45

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 

 

Acts 2:46-47

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

 

Mark 9:16 

“What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.

I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.  18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”“From infancy,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him….

Mark 9:23 

“ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus… “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

 

Possible = able, powerful, mighty, strong (Victorious)

Believe = to commit ones trust (Surrender)

Surrender leads to Victory

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

 

Matthew 21:22

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

 

Mark 16:16

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

 

Mark 9:24 

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
