Questions to Consider

  1. Share with someone or others a time when you conformed to the values of your friends, or your school, your workplace or society at large.  How did that one instance affect you and how can you rectify it?
  2. Read Daniel 1.
    1. What are some of the reasons or excuses we use to “go with the flow” instead of doing what we know is right?
    2. Share a time when you “stood your ground” over an issue that seemed perfectly acceptable to others but you knew you couldn’t follow? Did you suffer any consequences?  Would you make the same decision again?  Did you sense God’s presence?
    3. What are you facing today where you need to honor the Lord rather than go with the flow? How could others help you take that stand?
