Learning to Relax

We are so tired because the doesn’t let us rest and relax.

The World’s Way:

  1. Be : The world us to be popular every day
  2. Be Great : From young, we’re taught we must be the
  3. Be Successful : The goal posts of success keep

God wants to give us

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

  1. Be Popular with Me
  2. Be Great with Me
  3. Be Successful with Me

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.Come and share your master’s happiness!’ – Matthew 25:7

When our only goal is to make God , then we can relax as He already loves us.

Be Great with Me

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 18:1-4

It is relaxing to be great with God who thinks the world of us

Be Successful with Me

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ – Matthew 4:8-10

It is relaxing to be with God, because we just have to follow His way instead of fighting against the world.

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away. 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

Even if we are not popular, great or successful in this life, we can relax because we know that Jesus is coming to take us to heaven!
