Ezekiel Chapter 37

God speaks to Ezekiel  gives him this vision of how He’s going to restore and bring hope. The people of Israel had lost all hope of their nation ever being restored when this vision came to Ezekiel.

Today God wants to take you from your the to complete

There are three things we’re to do that Ezekiel did.

Ezekiel 37:2,”He [God] led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out.”

If you don’t deal with your grief and you keep running and you don’t really deal properly with the pain and the sadness then eventually it comes out, usually in crazy, devastating, destructive behaviors.

The Bible says Jesus was a man of sorrow acquainted with grief

Matthew 5:4, Jesus said, ”Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted,”

Ezekiel begins the whole passage by saying,

Ezekiel 37:3, it says, ”Then He [God] asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones become living people again?’ O sovereign Lord,’ I replied, ‘You alone know the answer to that.”’

Ezekiel says, ”God, only you know the answer to that.”

Ezekiel 37:4, God says, ”Then He said to me, ‘Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!”’

Lamentations 3:20. It says, ”I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, ‘The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!”’

He’s saying, ”I still dare just to put a little bit of hope. I just have a little bit of hope and I’m going to put it all in God, and I dare to hope when I remember this.”

Ezekiel 37:14,”I will put my breath in them, and bring them back to life, and let them live in their own land. Then they will know that I am the Lord. I have promised that I would do this — and I will. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

He’s saying, ”Give me your brokenness, Israel, and I’ll breathe life into your brokenness.”

God says, ”I want to breathe life into you and passion and purpose. I want to breathe my life into you through the Holy Spirit.”

Ezekiel 37:7,”So I spoke this message, just as He [God] told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.”

Judah City Church is a house of hope and the rattling of hope, and it starts getting louder and louder and breaks the silence of hopelessness, goes beyond these walls into the city to bring hope to the hurting.

This is a house of healing, not a house of judgment. This is a house that points people to the ultimate hope, Jesus Christ.
